It's always fun for us to complete a project that beautifies our community. Athens is my hometown, and I've been known to be a sentimental sap, especially when it comes to our community. This project was on a relatively new construction home in our area, but the use of local stone with a rustic feel, really captured the essence of the Athens, Tennessee community. We're loving the way this landscape turned out. Especially how the stone edging upgrades a boring builder spec concrete patio and integrates the whole space in nicely.
For this project, we used 20 tons of local natural creek stone and boulders, 15 locally mined solid stone steps, and several tons of a beautiful rustic brown local flagstone. Pulling together all these local materials allowed for a cohesive color scheme that blends seamlessly into the natural woods behind it. We can't wait for these new homeowners to get to enjoy their space!
